September Reads thus far...

Starting in July of this year i dedicated myself to use my libraries amazing free system for checking out up to 50 books and 10 audio and 10 dvd's per month. of course i have not checked out the max each month but this month September i am close to the fifty books, i had 45 books at one time. THE MOSTEST EVER!!! And why wouldn't a book lover like to have fifty free books in their home to graze and nuzzle and ultimately salivate over? No reason i can find folks. So if it's not on my shelf or too expensive for my pocket at the time i march on over and whip my library card out like it's a black card rappers sing about. yikes that was an ugly image. you know pool side honey's, grills, the unswam in pool and ocean backdrop and repetitive tee shirt clad crew huming over the same gimmie the loot lines. Okay, so i have not been watching videos in a long time. welll....i know i know. not talking trash, i am just an old hip hop head. So back to the books. i am really having an amazing time reading books from my library. I will do this until the end of the year, read nothing but library reads. So all the book hauls i have done recently will be shelved and looking pretty sitting patiently waiting for me dust them off and start my TBR owned books list next year 2015. Which is right around the corner folks. oh man time flies when you are reading. Currently i am reading...Forty Acres...IQ84, and will start An untamed state today! Forty Acres by Dwayne Alexander Smith has taken me through so many different levels of anticipation, thrills and oh no they didn'ts that i am going to have to collect myself for a minute. And trust me i only have a minute. Yet, my geez this was one daring ride you may have to buckle up for. I know i did. My hair is still tingling. IQ84 i started along with Forty Acres, because i like to see what takes off and i refused to mop my floors this past weekend because they looked fine enough after i swept them and my grand daughter made a habit of coming over to jump up and down to hear her little feet make the boom sound on the hardwood floors. Now that is a reason to turn on the kidflix and have her mesmerized by martians until i can decide after reading up to page 47 in both books to see which one i was in the mood for. Murakami was so endearing that i wanted to make sure that i etched out time and coffee and comfy pajamas for so i kept going with Forty Acres and enjoy the thrill ride. I am glad i did. Welp, i am at work and on lunch and hoping to pick up and get into at least 50 pages today of An untamed state by Roxane Gay and hopefully get to at least 160 pages by the end of the night so i can finish it by tomorrow because the one very draw back of the library is people like me request books that are not on the shelf and have the nerve for the library to ask those to please return them on time and no i cant recheck it out. well... i guess that is only fair because they did give me two weeks to read it, but i read four other books instead. My bad. Now I have only two days, aint that something? Well happy reading you guys.

What are you reading, and how is it going so far?

until next time... readcooperread
